At the end of June we welcomed a visiting choir from Madagascar to Wales where they could visit and share fellowship with us onboard Island Reach.
They have been touring Europe over these last three months and it was such a joy to connect with them and have them visit the ship as they arrived in the UK.
Ongoing connection and partnership for this ministry as it is established in Madagascar will be essential and the building of connection between those who support the work and those who partner on the ground is being established.
LOOKING TOWARDS DELIVERY OF ISLAND REACH
Monitoring and praying for the geo-political situation in the middle East has been part of our journey since tensions were raised at the end of last year. This situation remains volatile and we stay prayerful, however -
With the Suez Canal opening back up YWAM Ships Switzerland is no longer considering needing to piggy-back the vessel around the Southern tip of Africa, and instead is planning on transiting the vessel under it’s own power through the Suez Canal, and onto Madagascar, via the Seychelles.
This way of getting the Island Reach to it’s destination will save over £200,000 in transit costs, but we will still need to raise £80,000 in total to complete the delivery.
We are prayerfully planning to sail her from Conwy in September, provided the funds are available AND the situation is safe enough. We would love you to pray with us for this planned delivery, that we would have the wisdom to know how and when to go.

We are so grateful to the many people who have given time, energy, expertise and finance to the project so far. Without you we would not be where we are today.
But we realise that your networks make a difference. Talking about the project with others, sharing the vision and encouraging others to get involved could be the final steps we need to see this ship delivered to Madagascar.

God has provided every step of the way in this ministry, and we trust Him for provision. But each of us can play a significant part by sharing and connecting with the network of people who make all of this possible.
